This semester, we will be focusing on American politics; we will explore the U.S. presidency as a historical, political and cultural object. The course will aim at reinforcing knowledge of US-American political institutions, while framing them as a subject of representation in films and series. Through this double approach, we will try to understand the presidency as an institution, a political power but also as a social and cultural construct. Students will be invited to create an audiovisual project around US politics and will be given rhetorical tools and historical background to develop it throughout the semester.
